This year's edition is special: it takes place during Poland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE trade fair is accompanied by the European Science Fair co-organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the MTP Group. The first day of the fair is not only the opening gala but also numerous conferences, shows and debates. The proud winners of the MTP Gold Medals for the most innovative products also stood in the spotlight today. The best arranged stands were also awarded.

“This is a unique event that comprehensively connects the worlds of science, innovation and business,” emphasised Karolina Zioło-Pużuk, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, during the ceremonial inauguration.

The first day of the fair confirmed that it is more than just a technology exhibition. It is a platform for meetings, exchange of ideas and jointly building the future. Science meets industry At the inauguration, there were many voices about the key importance of cooperation between the academic community and industry. "Without the academic community, there would be no fair, no future, no science," emphasized prof. dr hab. Bogumiła Kaniewska, Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University. "Our dream was for science and business to meet in one place. It was a success."

Deputy Governor of Wielkopolska Jarosław Maciejewski added:

Only an economy that is able to compete on global markets is able to decide about the potential of our country."

As Tomasz Kobierski, president of the MTP Group, emphasized, the fair has been a place of cooperation between three communities of entrepreneurs, scientists and consumers since its inception. - "In recent years, I have very strongly noticed the need for communication between the scientific community. The industry says that it needs inventions, new scientific thought and partnership with Polish science because only this will build the technological advantage of our enterprises and the national economy."
